We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to run the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources department, be a positive cultural presence, and lead the company in areas of compliance and employee satisfaction!
Key Responsibilities:
- Process company payroll.
- Manage employee benefits programs by administering plans, managing enrollments, and ensuring that benefits stay up to date and competitive.
- Administer leave of absence programs.
- Coach managers surrounding areas of performance and talent management, administer reviews and surveys through our HRIS.
- Manage the permanent and temporary staffing processes, including working with the departmental managers to understand recruitment needs, job postings, interviewing, hiring, pre-employment background checks, and onboarding.
- Lead the safety committee to ensure a safe place to work for all staff.
- Be able to learn and navigate our HRIS to become our HRIS knowledge center and assist staff when questions arise.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Work with other company leaders to ensure company culture and employee engagement is always positive.
- Other Ad-hoc duties as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 4 + years’ experience in Human Resources function
- SHRM or PHR certification a plus
- Microsoft Office Suite knowledge a must
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and other administrative systems
