JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Leadership Coach serves as an ambassador for Chick-fil-A, promoting team unity and building strong relationships across all levels of the organization. This role is crucial in upholding the highest standards of professionalism and work ethics. The Leadership Coach plays a key role in supporting the leadership team in achieving operational excellence in both the Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) departments.
Reporting directly to the Director of Talent, the Leadership Coach partners with the leadership team to develop and grow all team members within the organization. This includes working closely with other leaders to identify top-tier talent and to coach and develop team members to reach their full potential.

The Leadership Coach must also be quick-thinking, adaptable, and responsive to changes in the environment, tasks, goals, and organizational landscape. By doing so, they will motivate themselves and others to excel in a dynamic setting.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the restaurant is fully staffed with top-tier talent at all times.
- Recruit, interview, and train new leadership hires and team members.
- Oversee onboarding for leadership team members, including orientation and completion of new hire paperwork.
- Partner with the Talent Director and Training Coordinators to evaluate training performance, through coaching, evaluation, and feedback to operational leaders on leadership coaching and training, correlating training plans with Leadership Matrix.
- Partner with DT to evaluate Talent and Engagement KPIs and Talent Reports monthly.
- Combine critical thinking and leadership to create a culture of innovation in the people success factor of the business, including brand awareness, Chick-fil-A’s mission, vision and values.
- Develop a culture of growth-minded team members and leaders, incorporating it into training, ongoing development, and daily interactions.
- Intentionally develop and influence leaders to operate as motivated, high-performance teams aligned with the business's vision and values.
- Achieve this through goal setting, coaching, and regular performance feedback.
- Integrate core strategies and business-building principles into daily business rhythms.
- Measuring team and talent growth and development.
- Serve as a talent development advisor to the owner/operator, developing and executing a long-term vision and strategic plan for extraordinary talent.
Retention Initiatives (Employee Experience)
- Continuously assess team morale through observation and staff interactions at all levels.
- Identify opportunities for improvement by leveraging internal assessments and reports.
Human Resources/Administrative
- Collaborate with Directors and the leadership team to monitor the Disciplinary Point System.
- Work with the Director of Operations (DOO) and DT on the financial annual plan and budget, focusing on talent stewardship and development.
- Support recruitment, selection, onboarding, offboarding, coaching, mentoring, feedback, employee care, and employer branding.
- Assist Managers/Directors with disciplinary actions and ensure proper documentation for team members who fail to meet standards.
- Assist with various payroll responsibilities, including maintaining payroll notes, tracking deductions, verifying time reports, and correcting time punch errors.
- Organize and maintain office and employee files to ensure legal compliance (NYC, NYS, DOL, etc.)
