HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist will provide support and is responsible for the day-to-day management of HR operations. This position reports to the Director of HR Operations & Compliance (DoHROC), or another senior management personnel that the President of the Company may designate. This position is hybrid-based and will report to both the Irvine, CA office and the employee’s home office. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm. This position may be required to travel up to 10% of the time.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Talent Acquisition, Pre & Onboarding
- Execute tasks related withpreboarding, onboarding and conduct new hire orientation, ensuring all required documents are executed and received and all necessary access/equipment is provided;
- Conduct I-9 verifications, regularly audit for accuracy and compliance;
- Oversee the 90-day performance management process;
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development;
- Compliance
- Prepare, review, audit and/or process HR related information, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal employment law, internal process and program requirements;
- Align with Hanwha Q CELLS policies, maintain federal and state compliance requirements;
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client, company, and personnel information;
- Keep up-to-date with employment laws and best practices, and communicate these to management regularly;
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Utilize HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and drive strategic initiatives;
- Prepare and present reports on HR activities, compliance, and key performance indicators to senior leadership;
- Identify trends and recommend proactive measures to address potential HR issues;
- Complete status changes;
- Reconcile expenses;
- Benefits and Leave Administration
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health plans, life insurance plans, short term disability plans and the 401(k) plan;
- Handles benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution;
- Participate in interactive discussions with employees in compliance with ADA and support the Workers Compensation Program;
- Administer, track and coordinate all FMLA and/or leaves of absences;
- HR Operations
- Assist the HR Operations team with the day-to-day HR operations;
- Support HRIS team in the Workday and ADP implementations (system testing, data inputs, and data migration reconciliation).
- Support the effective integration and administration of HR processes, programs, and practices into daily operations;
- Create and ensure that HR files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures;
- Process verification of employment requests, state-specific claim forms and unemployment insurance claims;
- Effectively communicate to employees on various HR matters;
- Aid HR department in implementing new policies and procedures;
- Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs;
- Assist with immigration and visa inquiries;
- Employee Relations and Investigations
- Serve as an HR trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR-related issues;
- Oversee routine to complex employee relations issues;
- Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations and collaborate with DoHROC to recommend appropriate action to resolve the issues;
- Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement;
- Handle separations, terminations and corrective action plans;
- Human Capital Management (“HCM”) // Employee Engagement
- Support with planning and executing company-sponsored events;
- Track marketing materials and new hire onboarding gifts;
- Execute employee recognition programs, including birthday announcements, and employee anniversaries;
- Partner with HR team on various HCM initiatives (Learning Management System, Support HCM team on status changes related to promotions, annual review process, compensationchanges, Total Rewards/Incentive Programs; re-organizational changes
- Work with GES HCM team to run ad hoc reports and/or collect data forBudget approvals;
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned;
- Korean speaking candidates are highly preferred but not required;

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or another related field in business administration
- Minimum of 5years of relevant human resources experience
- Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience managing the employee's life cycle in Renewable Energy, Construction, Engineering and/or related energy industries
- Strong knowledge of HR operations and administration including recruiting and payroll
- Strong knowledge of HR-related state and federal regulations
- Strong knowledge of various benefit programs
- Strong proficiency using software programs such HRIS (such as Workday), Payroll systems (such as ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, etc.), MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong proficiency in operating applicant tracking systems (Jobvite preferred) and LinkedIn Recruiter
- Advanced reporting skills using Excel

SALARY RANGE FOR POSITION
The anticipated starting pay range of this position, which is to be located in Irvine, CA is $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 base salary per year based on years of experience. Higher salary range as part of overall compensation will be considered for direct solar industry experience.

An additional discretionary bonus structure or incentives may be offered as part of the overall compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, dental, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
