As the HR Generalist you will need to be proficient in all types of leave programs and it is your responsibility is to ensure that all benefit and leave programs are administered in accordance with policy.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with investigations and employee relations issues as needed
- Oversee all types of employee leaves including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, and DBL.
- Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of leave requests, approvals and denials.
- Acts as liaison with vendors to resolve employee concerns
- Communicate status of leaves with supervisors as needed including following up on return to work, medical notes, and extensions.
- Oversee Workers Compensation claim process including intake, filing and follow up.
- Partner with Safety to review return to work and a key member of the ADA request committee.
- Assist with managing open enrollment process including but not limited to attending meetings, and providing follow up to employees.
- Act as liaison with insurance representatives as needed.
- Produce weekly and monthly reports for management.
This position supports 1500 employees. The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 5 years of related experience
- Benefit and Leave Administration
- Strong knowledge of federal, state and local leave laws and workers compensation laws
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient in Excel
- Bi-lingual Spanish
- Proficient in HRIS and leave management programs - ADP Workforce now preferred.
This is an in person position. There is no remote option for this role.
Overtime may be required from time to time.
