Human Resources Generalist Consultant
Our client is currently seeking a Bilingual Human Resources Generalist to work part-time and serve as the HR point of contact at their New York distribution center location.
Position Details:
- Human Resources Generalist
- Bilingual - English/Spanish.
- Long-term temporary role.
- Part-time. 20 hours/week, working onsite in the NY distribution center.
- Location: Hauppauge, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the Facility Manager in sensitive and confidential matters such as personnel actions, employee relations, and organizational changes.
- Protects the security and confidentiality of relevant information, data, and files.
- Coordinates and supports new employee orientation by scheduling, ensuring resources, meeting new hires, and presenting onboarding information in coordination with the larger organization.
- Assists with answering internal and external inquiries relating to payroll, employe benefits, HR policies, etc.
- Work closely with operations management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention

Required Experience:
Requirements:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish).
- 3-5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably within a distribution, manufacturing and/or warehouse/plant environment.
- Working understanding of HR principles, practices and procedures.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivating, adaptable, and possesses a positive attitude.
- Ability to work part-time (20 hours/week), onsite in our client’s Hauppauge, NY location.
