Position Summary:
As the HR Employee Relations Specialist, you will lead the development and implementation of strategies to optimize the employee journey throughout the employee lifecycle. Collaborating closely with HR leadership, you'll assess and enhance existing initiatives, policies, and programs to align with organizational goals. Your responsibilities include overseeing training programs, serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and conducting assessments to drive continuous improvement. With a focus on fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting employee growth, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping an environment where employees feel valued, engaged, and empowered to succeed, ultimately contributing to the organization's overall success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the overall employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to assess and improve existing employee experience initiatives, policies, and programs.
- Manage the design and delivery of onboarding, orientation programs for new hires to ensure a positive and seamless integration into the organization.
- Organize and present employee training programs. Provide training and coaching to managers on best practices for managing employee relations.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees to discuss workplace issues.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and conflicts.
- Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
- Responsible for drafting and implementing corrective actions when necessary, ensuring fair and consistent practices in alignment with company policies and regulations.
- Conduct regular assessments and surveys to measure employee satisfaction and engagement, analyze data, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Direct support for Senior Management and Management on employee issues, compliance, and day to day operations of the workforce.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in employee experience and make recommendations for enhancements to existing programs and policies.
- Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
- Provide coaching and guidance to HR team members on employee experience-related matters and support their professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that fosters employee satisfaction, retention, and organizational success.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
- Works directly with HR Management Team on department and company initiatives.
- Code department credit card expenses used.
- Provide administrative support in various HR areas, including recruiting and onboarding.
- Termination process, including assisting managers with termination meetings, exit interviews and processing termination paperwork/updating systems.
- Complete Unemployment paperwork and hearings.
- System Administration Provide support to maintain optimal function of the HRIS. Assist with data security, documentation of system changes, policies, and procedures to ensure standardization and efficiency of interface workflows; assist with upgrades, rollouts, and training; work collaboratively with HR Management and IT to ensure system functionality and provide appropriate end user education and support.
- System Maintenance Assist in the review, testing, and implementation of HRIS system upgrades. Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix.
- System Support Provide support for HRIS including researching and resolving HRIS issues, unexpected results, or process flaws; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
- Responsible for understanding, staying updated on, and abiding by the Employee Handbook as written.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum of two days in office
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work and interact effectively with employees throughout the organization.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Works well in high stress environment.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Human Resources
- 3-5 years of experience in employee relations and employment law.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel.
