At our Universal City office, interns will have access to the NBCUCommutes program, which provides fully subsidized transit passes to full-time lower lot employees, good for unlimited rides on all Metro bus and rail, such as the Metro Red Line.

Operations & Technology: (O&T) is a $1B operating cash flow ($1.5B FCF) division of NBCUniversal. The group functions as a global shared service within NBCUniversal performing critical functions including Media, Broadcast and Studio Operations & Production, Content Supply Chain, Information Technology and Engineering, as well as Cyber Security. Direct-to-Consumer (Peacock) HR: Direct-To-Consumer Human Resources is a dynamic, collaborative team that strives to grow and develop talent, maintain strong relationships with our clients, and provide new hires with the best possible onboarding experience. You will gain experience performing a broad range of HR and operational support for the Direct-To-Consumer business/Peacock and interfacing across the organization.
Global Distribution – International Human Resources, Film: This intern will support the Sales, Marketing, Finance, Business & Legal Affairs, and Research & Strategy functions of Global Distribution, partner with the HR Director and HR Manager to strategize and facilitate initiatives, and provide day-to-day support.
Media Group Talent & Org Development: The Talent & Organization Development team works closely with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders within the NBCU Media Group to help shape strategize, manage change, and improve processes, redesign organizational structures, identify and coach key talent, and realign/shift cultures assuring high performing, engaged, and inclusive teams. Alongside the T&OD team, this intern will help organize training sessions, workshops, and offsites, prepare materials and assist with logistics, such as booking venues and collecting feedback, support the team in analyzing employee data related to performance and engagement, and conduct research on best practices in talent management, learning, and development, and organizational effectiveness, among other responsibilities.
Ops & Tech Human Resources: The West Coast Studio Operations HR team at NBCUniversal is looking for a high-energy, results-driven, and innovative HR Intern. The role is a perfect launch pad for someone interested in a career in HR, providing experience in both generalist and specialist work. We support the West Coast Studio Operations business at NBCU with a rich history in Film & TV and industry-leading broadcast & studio services, studio post, stages & backlots, special events, and more. In this role, you will have exposure to HR projects that span: onboarding, rewards and recognition, performance feedback, talent attraction and development, and HR’s business impact. In the day-to-day, you will help solve problems involving: Benefits, Payroll, Compensation, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Finance and Data Analytics.
Television & Streaming DEI: NBCUniversal’s TV DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) team, also known as NBCU LAUNCH, is one of the longest standing diversity, equity and inclusion departments in the entertainment industry. This team is committed to discovering and developing the next generation of content creators from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds through our groundbreaking talent development programs that focus on helping to launch careers and forging pathways to continued success within NBCUniversal. TV DEI’s programs and partnerships provide creators with access to networking and staffing opportunities, professional mentorship, and career growth, while also honing their self-branding strategies, pitching skills, and overall knowledge of the network and studio landscape. The TV DEI team comprehensively supports and tracks creators’ career momentum as they move through the business and reach new creative heights.
UP&E Recruiting: As a Recruiting Intern, you will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end hiring process for Universal Products & Experiences. Your responsibilities will span from attracting candidates, to evaluating resumes, and conducting and scheduling interviews. We’re seeking an individual with strong communication and organizational skills, innovative thinking, a passion for talent acquisition, and exceptional attention to detail. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting in sourcing/screening resumes and conducting initial phone screenings of potential candidates; helping coordinate interviews and assessments, including scheduling and communicating with candidates; maintaining and updating candidate databases and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); crafting and posting job descriptions; and conducting research on recruitment/DEI trends and best practices to optimize our hiring processes.
Basic Requirements:
Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (June 2025 through August 2025). May 2025 graduates are not eligible for our Summer 2025 Internship Program.
Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA.
For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.

Desired Characteristics:
Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
Interest in the HR field, DEI, corporate communications and culture, and/or employee engagement.
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
Strong-problem solving skills, with the ability to self-start and streamline.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the professional savvy of communicating at all levels.
Well organized with strong time management & multi-tasking skills.
Ability to take direction from multiple stakeholders & balance numerous projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Experience with SAP a plus.
The hourly rate for student interns is $17.50.
The hourly rate for graduate students within Direct-to-Consumer and Media Group is $25.00.
