About the Job
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position
Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems
Ability to work with ATS software
In-depth understanding of sourcing tools, like resume databases and online communities
Familiarity with recruiting through online job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.)
At least 1%2B Year of Admin / HR Generalist experience in Manufacturing or Warehouse Environment preferred
Ability to climb stairs
Ability to work in a dusty environment.
Responsibilities:
The position will facilitate daily HR functions to support the operations of the - Abrasives Plainfield Distribution Center. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge the Human Resources function and should have experience with a wide range of Generalist / Administrative responsibilities as well as working knowledge of HR software & tools (ATS, HRIS, Payroll, Onboarding system ,etc.)
Use company record retention policy to determine what files to retain or destroy.
Use Iron Mountain for storage of files.
Ensure all employee documentation is filed in the correct employee file prior to being placed in long term storage.
Assist with the talent acquisition and selection of new employees
Support site recruiting events
Post job openings and maintain tracking of candidates
Onboard candidates in process to start through company onboarding platform
Ensure pre-employment requirements are met
Offboard employees that are no longer with the company
Prepare documentations for orientation,
Assist with site recognition activities
Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance accordingly
Provide administrative support including filing and other related tasks
Create communications and postings for announcements and site activities
Use HRIS platforms to maintain personnel related data (payroll, personal information, leave of absence)
Comments/Special Instructions
We will need a contract employee to work at our site while another employee is on leave of absence. The timeframe will be November Mid April 2025.
