Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to support the Head of Human Resources in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional looking to grow their career in HR while gaining hands-on experience in benefits administration, HR systems, and project management.
The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in tools like Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to handle diverse responsibilities with professionalism and discretion. Familiarity with Workday or similar HR systems, as well as experience in the healthcare industry, is a plus.
This in-office role is based in Blue Ash, OH, offering a supportive team environment and significant learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Support HR Leadership
- Create executive-level presentations using PowerPoint and prepare data-driven reports in Excel, including pivot tables and visualizations.
- Conduct research on HR topics and provide summaries to assist strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate on HR initiatives and projects, tracking progress and coordinating cross-functional efforts.
HR Operations and Systems Support
- Assist with benefits administration, including troubleshooting employee issues with enrollment and inquiries.
- Provide support for HRIS (Workday) tasks, such as running reports, tracking workflows, and minor configurations.
- Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality in all HR-related systems and processes.
Project and Communication Management
- Contribute to HR project management, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met; project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
- Draft professional and polished communications (emails, memos, reports) and respond to inquiries with tact and professionalism.
- Serve as a liaison for scheduling, organizing meetings, and coordinating HR events (excluding personal calendar management).
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience
- Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced skills in Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, formulas) and PowerPoint (creating polished presentations).
- Familiarity with Workday or other HRIS systems is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Communication Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft professional emails and respond effectively to calls.
- Project Management:
- Experience managing or supporting projects; certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
- Adaptability and Problem-Solving:
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and respond proactively to challenges.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- 3-5 years of experience in an HR support or administrative role.
Preferred Skills
- PHR certification or other HR-related certifications.
- Previous experience in healthcare or other complex, matrixed industries.
