HR Business Partner - Hybrid Clear Lake Area, Houston, TX - Barrios Technology

Barrios Technology has a need for a HR Business Partner (hybrid role) to join the Corporate Human Resources team located in Houston, TX.

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to fill a critical HR Business Partner role in Clear Lake, Texas.  This position is a hybrid position and should normally work in the office 3 days a week.    This key position reports to the Vice President of HR and requires direct HR support to assigned functional organizations, proving expert HR guidance to Management and employees, conducting and managing moderate investigations and work with other Sr members on complex cases, and managing performance-related issues. This position will also be significantly involved in contributing to technical projects that enhance our HR systems and workflows, as well as operating as the key contact for all HR functions for the organizations in which this position serves. Your efforts will align with legal, industry, and Barrios best practices and play a vital part in supporting our commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace.

• Knowledgeable: Experience in all areas of HR; Staffing, recruiting, benefits, compensation and with proven high functioning expertise in employee relations matters.
• Emotional Intelligence: Skilled in managing sensitive situations with professionalism, confidentiality, and empathy. Demonstrates a keen understanding of emotional dynamics to effectively resolve conflicts.
• Analytical and Meticulous: Capable of conducting precise investigations and translating complex data into clear, actionable insights/actions.
• Strategically and Technically Savvy: Brings some experience of strategic policy development and technical skills. Assist in the leadership of initiatives enhancing operational efficiency and aligning with broader HR goals.
• Initiative-taking Communicator: Proactively maintains open and effective communication, keeping all stakeholders well-informed and ensuring clarity in all interactions.

The HR Business Partner will:

• Serve as the key interface for Executive and line management for assigned organizations and act as the expert HR contact for employees in those groups.  Work with HR process owners to quickly resolve issues for both management and employee base.  Build and maintain robust relationships with internal stakeholders to promote positive employee relations and high engagement levels.
• Conduct detailed investigations into employee relations concerns such as harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and workplace violence, adhering to all applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, etc.
• Manage performance-based casework, aligning closely with our Performance Management process.
• Provide clear, timely communication regarding investigations, offering comprehensive reports with supporting documentation.
• Serve as an engaged member of the HR team and collaborate with HR leaders to ensure thorough investigations and prompt, effective resolutions.
• Develop, update, and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures, conducting training sessions, as necessary.
• Analyze trends in employee relations with leadership to devise initiative-taking strategies, solutions, programs, and policies.
• Lead and contribute to projects, particularly those that involve enhancing HR system functionalities and user experience, partnering with other HR team members.
• This is a hybrid position but requires at least a 3-day reliable schedule in office.
• Perform other duties as required.
