Come be a part of the transformation! Our client, a cutting-edge, e-commerce global marketing agency that is transforming the marketing industry, is seeking a dynamic, energetic, well-rounded HR professional to join their team on a part-time, remote basis. This is an ongoing, long-term project.
Even though this is a "remote" role for our client, we ask that you live within an hour's driving distance from King of Prussia, PA.
How will you make an impact?
The HR Business Partner will play an integral role in maintaining, streamlining and improving the HR functions for the company. Working closely with the Chief of Staff and Leadership, this position will execute the day-to-day HR tasks, assist with recruiting top talent, and take ownership of employee engagement and culture initiatives.
This position will report directly to the Chief of Staff and work closely with our Interim HR Manager.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Retention
- Execute talent acquisition efforts, consulting with management on recruitment plans and approach. Source, screening, interview and make recommendations for internal and external applicants providing the appropriate mix of skill, talent, and diversity
- Confidently manage the full recruiting lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding, while always looking to further improve the candidate journey and experience
- Responsible for managing and improving our ATS processes to drive efficiency
- Partner with hiring managers to develop clear and captivating job descriptions and candidate profiles (behavioral fit and technical qualifications) for all of our positions
- Craft high-quality engaging job posts, reflective of company’s values and culture and advertise to appropriate job boards
- Be creative in sourcing passive candidates through specific tools to build a long-term pipeline, attract candidates and keep them engaged
- Maintain prompt and organized communication and feedback throughout the entire recruiting process both with candidates and hiring managers
- Continually refine and oversee the onboarding process to ensure a seamless and engaging candidate to employee transition
- Proudly communicate our offerings and be able to answer any candidate questions surrounding our benefits, compensation, and culture
Benefits and Leave Administration
- Review monthly invoices for accuracy, work with accounting to correct discrepancies.
- Perform annual benefits review in collaboration with the Chief of Staff and benefit broker to ensure cost effective and employee friendly benefits are offered.
- Research free and low-cost benefits to add to offerings.
- Compile annual reports for benefit renewal meetings.
- Execute all compliance required reporting and notifications pertaining to all benefits offered.
- Process all additions, changes and terminations with benefits carriers/providers.
- Act as first point of contact for employees with benefit questions and/or issues.
- Manage all leave of absence requests and ensure compliance with all state, local and federal and international leave laws.
- Communicate with leadership regarding planned leaves of absence and return to work dates.
- Process disability paperwork in a timely manner; following up with the carrier to ensure claims are processed in a timely manner.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve our employee experience and build engagement
- Champion our Core Values across our remote organization through creative implementation and planning of internal events and development of our engagement calendar (off-sites, virtual events, team building events, training, lunch and learns, holiday party, causes we support, etc.)
- Assess current training programs and propose innovative ways to improve existing ones
- Work with managers to identify training requirements and design development opportunities to enable all team members to grow in their roles and careers
- Identify and address diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives for our team
- Run monthly and quarterly employee interest groups.
- Manage employee reward platform, maintain funds, pay invoices, award employee points weekly, monthly and weekly following policy.
- Send out periodic communications to the team regarding current events, awareness observances, employee milestones etc…
General Human Resource Administration
- Advise and support leadership with employee relations matters.
- Participate in company monthly town hall, leadership and other meetings to provide an HR presence and perspective.
- Oversee annual performance review process and ensure reviews are completed in a timely manner; assist leadership by reviewing forms before employee meetings; attend review meetings when requested by leadership; address performance issues in conjunction with leaders as required.
- Analyze workforce trends and metrics to improve talent acquisition, development, and retention
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and work with Employee or Record company to remain compliant with international employment laws.
- Review policies and practices to maintain compliance with all regulations.
- Answer all manager and employee questions related to HR policies.
- Keep abreast of federal, state and international employment and payroll laws where the company has employees located.
- Maintain professional certification by participating in seminars, webinars and attending conferences.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Experience:
What you need to excel in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive HR experience preferably for a tech company or start up
- Payroll experience a plus
- Experience with international employment laws is strongly preferred
- Well versed in all aspects of human resources, with proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and leave management
- Solid knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws
- Experience working with a fully remote workforce
- Active SHRM or PHR Certification
- Friendly, outgoing and professional demeanor
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Technologically savvy with experience using Rippling and Notion platforms strongly preferred
- A strong focus on maintaining confidentiality in regard to highly sensitive medical, personal and company information
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High organized with the ability to work on projects and tasks with conflicting deadlines
- Ability to form and maintain professional relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and with all levels within and outside of the organization
- Must reside within an hour's driving distance of King of Prussia, PA
