About the Job

Our client's HR Team is seeking an Assistant to primarily be responsible with the administration of the employment eligibility verification process pertaining to I-9 Form.

***Candidates must be able to work Tuesdays and Thursdays onsite and Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays remote. This is also a part time position starting at 9am in the morning for approximately, 4-5 hours per day / 20-25 hours per week. The role is for a leave coverage until end of May 2025.***

Key Responsibilities

Process and ensure all freelance employees have completed their I-9 forms accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain and organize I-9 records, ensuring confidentiality and security of employee documentation.
Conduct regular internal audits of I-9 forms to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Ensure monitoring of department’s email inbox for incoming correspondence.
Collaborate with HR team members on cross-functional tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an HR assistant or relevant HR/administrative position.
Familiarity with Form I-9 compliance requirements and employment eligibility verification processes.
High attention to detail and experience to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Excel pivot tables and reporting systems.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Workday and electronic I-9 software systems (Equifax).
