Job Summary
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for ensuring that all administrative functions of the Human Resources Team are completed in a timely manner. The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for ensuring that onboarding processes and procedures are completed each week, assisting with actively and passively recruiting candidates based on volume and assisting in the administration of HR programs.

Job Responsibilities:
- Serve customers, associates, vendors and partners while modeling Sendik’s culture and providing “best in class” customer service
- Respond to candidate inquiries and provide support and assistance to resolve questions accordingly
- Plan and execute weekly new hire orientations including but not limited to, new hire calls, coordination of schedules, material preparation, hiring and processing hires within HRIS system
- Assist with filling open positions efficiently and effectively with top talent, based on volume
- Maintain applications and correspond with candidates
- Actively source top candidates to fill positions
- Conduct phone interviews and schedule in person interviews with candidates for all store locations and new store locations
- Manage associate electronic files including uploading applicable documentation and ensure required forms are completed timely
- Oversee the employee referral program (BEEP)
- Perform various administrative responsibilities in support of HR programs and initiatives including:
- I-9 management
- Active Minor violation reporting
- Tracking of apparel usage and order placement for apparel inventory when needed
- Assist with Birthday coupon reporting
- Serve as back-up for the reception desk
- Serve as the back-up for processing and sending out ID badges
- Review standard operating procedures and practices; proactively seeks ways to improve upon current programs, procedures and processes
- Assist in the stores during peak holiday seasons as needed
- Complete other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Work Experience
Qualifications
- Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Human Resources experience preferred
- Experience in the retail industry preferred
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels, internally and externally
- Proficient in computer programs such as Word, Excel and Google Docs
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; strong continuous improvement mindset
- Strong sense of security and ability to handle sensitive information
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills
- Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner
