About the Job
BrandStar, a TV production and marketing company, is seeking qualified applicants to join our growing team as a Human Resources Assistant.
The HR Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department with a specific focus on the experience and on-boarding of new employees.
OVERVIEW OF THE HR ASSISTANT JOB DUTIES
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation including, but not limited to, employee records and organization charts.
- Answer frequently asked questions from employees and applicants relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
- Assist in the recruitment process for open positions. May handle full cycle recruitment of assigned positions under direction of a senior HR team member.
- Process the onboarding of new hires ensuring all required forms are signed by new employees and filed timely.
- Conduct or assist with new hire orientation and other HR-related trainings.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resources file and records.

Required Experience:
- Associates Degree with a business focus required or equivalent experience. Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Prior experience in an office environment performing administrative responsibilities or HR role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook).
