Volt is immediately hiring an HR Assistant in Colorado Springs, CO.
The ideal candidate will have experience in HR administrative tasks and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. This position plays a key role in supporting the HR department with various tasks and initiatives. This role will support the HR Department with posting and maintaining job ads, sourcing candidates, assisting with benefits, updating spreadsheets, and processing employee data changes. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and will handle sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality.
As an HR Assistant you will:
This is a full time opportunity. Mon-Fri 7am- 3:30pm
The ideal candidate will have:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· 2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Proficiency in HR software systems; Paylocity is a plus
· Familiarity with running reports in HR systems, and exporting data to Excel
· Intermediate Excel skills preferred
· Experience working in a fast paced/high volume recruitment environment a plus
· Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems - JazzHR a Plus
· Computer literacy and experience with MS Office is required
· Intermediate skills with Excel required
· Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
· Experience sourcing candidates is a plus
· Strong administrative skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
· Excellent time-management skills
Pay Rate: $20-22/hr
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

As an HR Assistant you will:
- Maintain employee records (electronic and hard copies)
- Update HR databases (new hires, separations, leave of absences)
- Assist with new hire onboarding and off-boarding
- Maintains job ads, reviews resumes, and assists with scheduling interviews as needed
- Coordinates pre-hire/post-offer paperwork
- Assists with coordinating orientation for new hires
- Works with HR Director to coordinate employee recognition and engagement programs
- Assists with Benefits Open Enrollment activities
- Assists in tracking employee data
- Backup to Payroll
- Runs monthly reports, validates data, and cleans up data
- Assists with audits and compliance
- Background checks, drug screens, and new hire paperwork
- Coordinate HR projects, meetings, and training
- Maintains I-9s and processes E-Verify
- Coordinates documentation for unemployment claims
- Assists with Workers' Compensation claims
- Coordinates Safety initiatives
- Assists with ISO Compliance
