About the Job
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides exceptional, STAR Service to ensure overall guest satisfaction.
•Performs the steps of STAR Service, which include:
- Smile and Greet
- Take Care of Needs
- Anticipate, Ask and Act
- Remember to Thank and Close
•Performs the position-specific STAR service expectations, as outlined by the department.
•Receive in internal and external guests, answering calls, questions and referring/routing guest to the appropriate area of the department.
Provides administrative support for the Human Resource Department to maximize the productivity and promote the achievement of department objectives.
•Prepare and compose professional looking proposals, correspondence, reports and newsletters as directed to meet timeline requirements with minimal direction.
•Proofread all work for accuracy of spelling, punctuation and grammar.
•Prepare outgoing correspondence faxes and distributes incoming faxes to the appropriate person.
•Route, pickup and deliver incoming mail to the appropriate person; prepares outgoing department and US Mail.
•Records, types and routes departmental staff meeting minutes.
•Reviews and process applications into applicant tracking and routes to Backgrounds.
•Maintains and manages electronic filing system.
•Timekeeper for daily schedules and requests for time off into timekeeping system.
•Coordinates meeting space as requested for internal HR team.
•Supports and assists with the team member ID badge process.
•Process purchasing documentation by following company policies and procedures
Maintains office supply inventory and requisitions, places orders or processes check requests.
•Requisition and maintains adequate supply of general office supplies.
•Orders flowers for team members upon request by department.
•Primary contact to process and requests orders or check requests for the department.
Other Duties/Responsibilities
•Communicates policies and procedures.
•Ensures the strictest of confidentiality is maintained at all times.
•Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree, Vocational Degree in Business Management or Human Resources preferred or related field. Will accept two years of Human Resources/Administrative support work experience with appropriate documentation to support skill set required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & DESIGNATIONS
Must meet licensing requirements as prescribed by the Tribal-State Compact for gaming.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
•Knowledge and ability to interpret departmental policies and procedures.
•Knowledge and skills necessary to use computer programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Email, and
•prepare templates and form letters.
•Knowledge of promotional programs offered by the Casino at any given point in time.
•Skills in basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages and decimals.
•Skills in processing and analyzing reports, graphs, surveys and charts.
•Skill of developing and maintaining positive relationships with external and internal customers.
•Skill in operation of a variety of office equipment including: Calculator, copy and fax machines.
•Ability to interpret meaning and create the appropriate message using standard office etiquette and business writing skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondences and procedure manuals.
•Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, guests and general public.
•Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times.

•Ability to sit and use hands. Talking and or hearing are done regularly. Specific vision abilities required include the ability to adjust focus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
•Work is completed in an office setting where the noise level is usually moderate.
•Moving or lifting of 25 pounds is occasionally required.
•Occasional exposure to limited concentration levels of tobacco smoke.
