About the Job

Responsible for planning and arranging the labor, schedules, equipment and diagnostics required for testing and evaluating both standard and special devices. Specifies tests to be performed and provides test area with parameters for sample testing. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment and diagnostics, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for designing, developing and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment.

Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises judgment and consults with others to arrive at best method for accomplishing work and achieving desired outcomes.

How You'll Make Your Mark:

• Primarily responsible for the validation (power, thermal, functional, performance) of HPE Slingshot NICs in HPE and potentially 3rd party servers
• Designs engineering solutions to test and evaluate systems, equipment, and devices based on established engineering principles and in accordance with provided specifications and requirements
• Develops and implements test plans, schedules, and requirements for all portions of new and existing designs; designs and provides leadership for outsourced and in- house testing resources building and operating test tooling, fixtures, scripts, automation, and apparatuses.
• Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced testing and development partners regarding testing status, project progress, test results, and issue resolution.

About You:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Typically 4-6 years experience.
• Knowledge of server hardware, base networking knowledge, power and thermal assessments
• Using testing tools and software packages to automate test processes.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Understanding of material properties and hardware and electrical component design.
• Using empirical assessment, modeling and testing methodologies to validate product designs and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate testing plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S. -based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $78,700.00 - $181,200.00
