Houston Safety Manager at GPAC

A Premier Construction company is looking to add a Safety Manager to their local team if you are interested or meet these requirements please reach out.

Experience: 10 years in safety or a combination of education and experience in commercial construction.

Education: Bachelor’s in Safety and Health (preferred) or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and enforce safety, health, and environmental policies on projects.
• Stop work in case of immediate danger to life, property, or environment.
• Collaborate with Safety Director to implement corrective actions.
• Serve as site EHS professional and resource for staff and subcontractors.
• Conduct EHS audits, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Organize safety training and committee meetings.
• Maintain OSHA Injury and Illness Recordkeeping.
• Ensure project sites are equipped with necessary safety gear (fire extinguishers, first aid kits, AEDs).
• Work with Environmental Consultants for compliance.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of EHS principles and corrective actions.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to train staff and provide excellent service.

Certifications:

• OSHA 30
• Current First Aid, CPR, AED

Oversight:
Work with project management and field teams to ensure safety and compliance on construction sites.
