Location: Properties are located in the Arlington County, VA, area.
Salary: Compensation will be per inspection basis of $28.00 per inspection, and the role will operate as a 1099 position.
Schedule: Flexible schedule.
JOB DESCRIPTION
What is HQS/ NSPIRE inspection? An HQS/ NSPIRE inspection verifies that the units meet the Housing Quality Standards Section 8 of the US Housing Act of 1937. Also known as the Rental Assistance program or the Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP).
JOB DUTIES
Perform housing quality standard (HQS/ NSPIRE) inspections for housing voucher programs. A certified inspector from the Public Housing Agency (PHA) is the one who conducts the inspection, covering both the interior and exterior of the unit. The housing authority regularly conducts HQS/ NSPIRE inspections as they are a project-based or tenant-based yearly requirement. It can be announced or unannounced, depending on the housing authority. HQS/ NSPIRE inspections are conducted by PHA staff and contractors to ensure that potential and current HCV housing units meet the minimum performance and acceptability criteria for each of the 15 key housing quality aspects.

REQUIREMENTS
Reliable transportation required. Certification and training provided. Applicants with OPT/CPT will be considered for PT work.Will be required to pass a background check and drug screen.
