Job Summary:
The Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel property. They must promote safety in all guest areas by following strict procedures concerning passkeys, entry to guestrooms, and reporting any suspicious activity. Housepersons must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and attention to detail. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist room attendants in processing linen and cleaning all rooms assigned for service to the hotel and company standards. Care for all uniforms, equipment, and supplies issued by management. Communicate with housekeeping as directed on the status of all tasks assigned to them during the day. Maintain the cleanliness of hotel corridors, elevator landings, and all public areas. Report any observed damage, unusual happenings, and safety concerns to the Executive Housekeeper / Facilities Manager. Ensure that all guest floor closets and room attendant’s carts are fully stocked with cleaning materials, fresh linen, terry, and guest supplies. Inform management of hazardous situations, emergencies, or security threats immediately. Respond courteously and promptly to all guest questions and concerns. Turn in all “Lost and Found” items immediately as directed listing the area of the hotel or room number where found, the day the item was found, and the name of the person who found it. Ensure that no occupied room is left open and unattended when being serviced. Promptly report all maintenance concerns to a housekeeping manager or supervisor. Follow all individual brand standards, policies, & procedures. Be a Brand Ambassador of A&R’s Culture, Mission and Values Other duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper
Required Skills and Experience:
High school or equivalent education required. High level of organizational and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong customer/client focus essential. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include early morning, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Other Skills Required: Physical: Must be able to stand for periods of time; ability to lift up to 25 lbs.; ability to lift, push, and pull moderate weight frequently
