Housekeeping Supervisor (FT) - Graduate by Hilton Evanston - Schulte Companies

Collegiate Hotel Group®, is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join Graduate by Hilton Evanston and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Inspects all assigned rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair

* Provides efficient and objective feedback to room attendants to drive efficiency and quality within the housekeeping department 

* Ensure that all associates have proper supplies, equipment and uniform including nametag and designated PPE 

* Trains associates on safety standards and enforce those standards on a consistent basis. Identifies associates engaging in unsafe behaviors and retrain them appropriately. Completes accident investigations and take steps to prevent future accidents

* Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning

* Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift

* Perform opening and closing shift duties

* Notifies maintenance department of maintenance repairs necessary

* Monitor cleanliness of hotel including parking lot and exterior entrances

* Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

* Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* Housekeeping leadership experience preferred

* Hilton experience preferred

* High School Diploma/GED

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

* Basic math skills 

* Basic computer skills 

* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing 

* Strong leadership skills 

* Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
