We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments.
- Ensure that all residential areas and common spaces are maintained at the highest level of cleanliness and tidiness.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Train, mentor, and motivate a team of housekeeping and laundry staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, and place orders as required.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to established cleanliness and safety standards.
- Respond promptly to resident concerns or complaints relating to housekeeping or laundry services, and take appropriate actions to address and resolve the issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and execution of all housekeeping and laundry tasks.
- Maintain and update records of cleaning activities, supplies, and equipment maintenance.
- Assist in the recruitment and selection of new housekeeping and laundry staff.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide regular feedback, conducting performance reviews when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, and take appropriate measures to prevent accidents or incidents.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and advancements, and implement new techniques or technologies to enhance the efficiency and quality of housekeeping and laundry services.
Requirements
- Prior experience in housekeeping or laundry services, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using computer software and applications.
- Ability to withstand physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, lifting, and operating cleaning equipment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
