Housekeeper - Vernon Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center

Vernon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility seeking a full time candidate for our Housekeeping postion. Qualified candidates will be cross trained in both Housekeeping and Laundry departments.  Hours are 8am to 4pm with one 30 min lunch, five days a week. Every other weekend is required

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for performing routine tasks to ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas of the facility

HOUSEKEEPING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.      Dusts hall, offices, resident rooms, recreation rooms, lounges, etc. according to assigned unit.

2.      Washes floors, walls, windows, window frames, tiles, door frames, and other high areas.

3.      Refills toilet supply containers, soap and paper towel dispensers.

4.      Cleans bowls, sink walls, exposed pipes, etc.

5.      Keeps housekeeping storage closets in good order and locked at all times.

6.      Moves furniture, equipment, housekeeping supplies, etc. as needed.

7.      Requests supplies as needed and maintains all material in adequate supply and in properly marked containers.

8.      Performs other related duties and attends meetings as may be deemed necessary by Supervisor / Administrator and or Director.

LAUNDRY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.      Gathers soiled linen/resident personal clothing from designated areas.

 2.      Sorts, launders and dries facility linens and resident personal clothing.

 3.      Sorts and folds dried linens and resident personal clothing.

 4.      Delivers clean linen/resident personal clothing to designated areas.

 5.      Cleans laundry area and equipment as directed.

 6.      Requests additional suppliers and replacement linen as necessary.

7.      Performs other related duties and attends meetings as may be deemed necessary by Supervisor / Administrator and or Director.
