JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
The primary purpose of the Housekeeping Aide is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility and as may be directed by the Administrator and/or Supervisor to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner and that an adequate supply of linen in on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents.
Experience:
- Must have 1 year or more experience in healthcare housekeeping/laundry
General Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.
- Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a minimum one year experience working in a nursing home housekeeping position
- Attention to detail
- Reliable
Qualifications and Skills
At least 1 year experience is required
Perform, follow and adhere to proper body mechanics necessary to perform duties.
Must be able to stand most shift and do repetitive arm/shoulder movements.
Must be able to assume responsibility and possess ability to work independently, problem solving and managing time.
