**Job Title: Housekeeper/Room Attendant**
**Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Room Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms to uphold our hotel's standards of excellence. Your attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction will be paramount in ensuring a positive experience for all our guests.
**Responsibilities:**
- Clean guest rooms according to established standards, ensuring each room meets our cleanliness criteria.
- Address any maintenance issues promptly and report them to the appropriate department.
- Handle guest requests and complaints with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms and their contents.
**Key Duties:**
- Utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety regulations and hotel requirements.
- Transport cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens to assigned guest rooms securely.
- Empty trash containers and recycling bins regularly.
- Replace dirty linens with clean ones according to standard procedures.
- Thoroughly clean bathroom surfaces, including mirrors, sinks, toilets, and showers.
- Make beds with clean linens and replace laundry bags and slips as needed.
- Dust and polish furniture, pictures, mirrors, and other room fixtures.
- Ensure proper placement of amenities and replace any missing items.
- Vacuum room floors and other designated areas.
- Update room statuses as necessary and restock supplies as directed.
- Handle guest complaints professionally, striving to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Report any damages or maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to hotel fire and emergency procedures at all times.
- Follow Lost and Found policy, including key control procedures.
- Perform other essential cleaning duties as directed by supervisors.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of proper handling and usage of cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
**Physical Demands:**
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may need to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
**Work Environment:**
The work environment is usually moderate in noise level.
