Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide guests with a positive impression of The Riley Center by cleaning and maintaining the facility and assisting guests as deemed appropriate. This position is expected to work with all employees of The Riley Center to maintain a superior level of guest service, as well as cleanliness of hotel rooms and event conference rooms. This position will be required to work 25-28 hours per week. Applicants should have a flexible schedule, being able to work during the day, evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed. This position will report directly to the Riley Center General Manager.

Clean guest rooms in a timely manner

Receive the list of rooms to clean daily from the front desk

Make sure all stayover rooms are cleaned to SWBTS standards

Take out all trash/closing and locking all doors when finished

Provide the best service when speaking with guests/ or in the presence of staff and Faulty

Ensure overall guest satisfaction/cleanliness of room

Welcome all visitors of the Riley Center and provide information regarding room locations, conference information, and SWBTS campus information.

Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications / Education:

High School Diploma or GED
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred, but not required

Successful completion of background check, MVR, and credit check may be required.

This position does not oversee other employees.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job that are physically demanding. (i.e., kneeling, bending, stooping, sweeping, moping, walking stairs, pushing, pulling, reaching, carrying trash, garbage, and buckets).

Ability to navigate a variety of floor surfaces and areas including stairs, escalators, carpet, concrete, etc.

Ability to work in a variety of environments including but not limited to heights, elevators, in darkened areas, around crowds, loud noise, and flashing lights.

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Must be able to climb ladders.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen to their direct supervisor in a kind and helpful manner.

Frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms.

Occasionally required to stand, kneel, crouch, climb and balance, walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
