Position Summary
The Housekeeper is responsible for the Cleanliness of the common areas of the property. The Housekeepers report directly to the Property Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Cleaning
· Lobbies – sweep and mop floors, clean windows and doors, polish furniture, vacuum carpets and rugs, dust baseboards, dust pictures and light fixtures, buff floors when necessary
· Bathrooms – clean toilets and stalls, sweep and mop floors, clean mirrors, dust pictures and light fixtures, dust baseboards, wipe doors, clean and disinfect showers and saunas, wipe down trash cans
· Fitness Centers – sweep and mop floors, wipe down equipment, dust pictures and baseboards, clean windows, take inventory of equipment, wipe down doors, wipe down trash cans.
· Elevators – wipe down walls, sweep and mop floors, clean tracks, wipe down doors, vacuum rugs
· Social Rooms – vacuum carpet, dust/polish furniture, clean windows, clean kitchen including appliances, wipe down doors, dust baseboards, pictures and fixtures, steam clean carpet when necessary
· Business Centers – sweep and mop floors, dust baseboard and counter, wipe down mail boxes, dust baseboards
· Stairwells – dust banisters and light fixtures, wash down stairs when necessary
· Unit Hallways – sweep and mop floors, wipe down all doors, check doors are self-closing, dust fire extinguisher cabinets, perform fire extinguisher check, check emergency exit signs are lit, buff floors when needed
· Cabanas – sweep balconies, wash balcony doors
· Theatre – vacuum carpet, clean bathroom, dust baseboard, pictures, and fixtures, wipe down the trash cans, steam clean the carpet when necessary
· Dumpster rooms – clean floors with bleach solution, spray dumpsters with bleach solution when empty, wipe down the doors, clean the walls
· Elevator foyers – sweep and mop the floors, clean filters in garage level a/c units, wipe down the doors
· Report any lights out, problems with elevators, paint damage, etc.
· Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies
Qualification & Requirements
· Ability to climb and work safely on ladders or lifts
· Must have the ability to repeatedly lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50lbs)
· Task may include repeated stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, etc.
· Maintain appropriate communication skills for owners/guests
· Proven ability to assess emergency situations and act accordingly
· Proper use of safety protection and correct use of equipment to maximize safety
· Knowledge of the safe use of each chemical, and the correct use of each chemical for the surface type they are cleaning
