Housekeeper - Environmental Services

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated Housekeeper to join our team. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in our healthcare facility, which is essential to ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained.

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and other areas of the facility
• Follow established cleaning and disinfection protocols and procedures
• Collect and dispose of waste, biohazardous waste and linens
• Stock and maintain supplied in patient rooms and common areas
• Respond to requests for cleaning services from healthcare staff
• You may operate heavy-duty equipment and use special cleaning equipment.

• Housekeeping experience required utilizing basic housekeeping practices and procedures proper handling/disposal of infectious waste and proper safety skills in handling of housekeeping chemicals
• Acute healthcare work experience involving the use of heavy equipment such as buffers extractors wide area vacuums and wet vacuums

Special Skills:

• Ability to converse comprehend and communicate verbally in English.
• Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team member’s patients and visitors.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of issues and materials designed as such.
