Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida (HCN) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. HCN is a Federally Qualified Health Center located in Collier County on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida. HCN has been providing primary care to underserved patients for over 40 years.

We provide comprehensive, integrated primary care to more than 50,000 patients at 21 clinic sites throughout the county with more than 75 practitioners. Services include pediatrics, family and internal medicine, an HIV/AIDS treatment program, geriatrics, women's care, dental, and integrated behavioral health. We are accredited by the Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Care (AAAHC) and are certified by AAAHC as a medical and dental home.

Job Summary

Serves as a key member of the Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida maintenance staff ensuring that HCN facilities are functionally efficient, clean, safe and attractive. Receives daily assignment of duties and review of work performed. Accomplishes routine duties with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities and Standards

o Performs interior building cleaning as assigned.

Uses hand or specialized equipment to clean floors, walls, ceilings, furniture and work surfaces, windows, glass, fixtures, sinks, toilets, vents, and other items as required.
Removes trash and biohazardous waste according to established policies and procedures.
Disinfects restrooms according to established schedules.
Performs exterior building cleanings as assigned.

o Power washes building exteriors and sidewalks to remove debris and mildew.

o Cleans glass surfaces.

o Removes trash and debris from grounds.

Moves furniture, equipment and supplies as assigned.

o Moves furniture and pre-packed boxes in office reorganization.

o Assists in the setup of new offices, furniture and equipment.

o Assists in the setup/breakdown of conference room for classes and special events.

Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the safe, efficient and attractive operation of the HCN environment of care.
- Assists with painting, patching plaster or stucco, dusting, heavy trash removal, minor fire control, spill cleanup and other minor repairs.
Demonstrates the safe and efficient use of supplies, tools and equipment.
Utilizes personal protective equipment as instructed.

Efforts are generally responsive to work flow, must be able to work independently and prioritize work on a daily or weekly basis, subject to occasional reprioritization by others
Impact of work performance could result in a noticeable impact in the organization and may involve management attention.
May be required to perform the duties of other employees, including supervisors/managers, in their absence.
May be required to perform duties and responsibilities not listed in this description, on a temporary or long-term basis.

Experience

Education/Training Level:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens (including biohazardous waste handling and spill cleanup)

Licenses and Certifications:

None Required.

Communication Skills:

Must effectively communicate with co-workers, patients and visitors.
Must be able to read and write English language well enough to complete paperwork required for the position, as well as read and follow instructions/labels on supplies, tools and equipment

Technology Skills:

Utilizes Outlook Email system effectively.
Utilizes Kronos Timekeeper application effectively.
