About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting resident rooms, common areas, hallways, and offices.
- Sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and floors, using appropriate cleaning agents.
- Empty trash bins and replace liners as needed.
- Clean and disinfect surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, and light switches to prevent the spread of germs.
- Launder linens and towels according to facility procedures.
- Stock and maintain housekeeping carts with cleaning supplies.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Follow established protocols for handling and disposing of biohazardous waste.
- Assist with special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Respect residents' privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
