About the Job
This is a full-time position that is responsible for maintaining an attractive, sanitary and safe facility for staff and visitors; performing a variety of specialized cleaning operations; providing equipment and furniture arrangements for meetings; and stock and prepare common areas shared by staff. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities:- Cleaning schedules are provided by the supervisor and duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Clean all entryways in their entirety
- Check all kitchens for coffee and supplies; check and restock dispensers; close down kitchens daily
- Check front office calendar for upcoming meetings; inspect conference rooms for cleanliness and coffee supplies; re-inspect after meetings and clean if necessary
- Clean, dust and vacuum offices, conference rooms, entryways, and hallways daily
- Clean, sanitize, and restock supplies daily in all lavatories
- Collect trash throughout the building and take it to outdoor trash containers daily. Change liners as needed
- Clean reception area: glass, doors, countertop and furniture daily
- Use a ladder/stepstool to clean high areas
- Operate shampoo/rug and upholstery machine as necessary; strip and wax floors
- Clean stairwells: sweep, mop and sanitize handrails, and clean doors and walls. Water plants, clean cobwebs and dirt from windows inside/outside
- Clean exterior doorways and parking lots of garbage and weeds
- Confirm that the entire building is secure for the night before leaving; check for open windows and unsecured doors
- Notify supervisor of supplies and miscellaneous items needed; notify supervisor of any maintenance issues using maintenance software
- Drive company vehicle to transfer trash and supplies to respective areas
- Comply with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of supplies, trash, rubbish, and waste
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
- Previous related work experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to operate a computer and/or phone applications
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
