Are you an experienced housekeeping professional with a desire to work with an organization that is making a difference in the world? At Damar you can! Damar is currently seeking a Housekeeper to be provide consistent application of the highest health standards, ensuring that all residents reside in a safe, clean and healthy environment and that the building and equipment are maintained in such a manner as to comply with the State Board of Health’s rules and regulations, to ensure the health and safety of residents and employees.
Shift: Monday-Friday 5a-1:30p or 6a-2:30p (No weekends!)

- Ensure all buildings are maintained in such a manner as to provide the cleanest environment as possible in which residents may live.
- Perform all daily, weekly and monthly duties as per the Housekeeping Cleaning standard operating procedures.

- Performs weekend duties as assigned: such as laundry, cleaning and stocking.
- Completes incident reports, including reporting any suspected exploitation, abuse, or neglect of a client. INDH
What you need to be considered...
- Ability to follow and execute specific oral and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to routinely lift 10 to 60 pounds from floor level to overhead in height..
- Must have the ability to maneuver 20 to 100 pounds vertically.
- Must have the ability to perform daily tasks by bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, pulling and pushing with wrist, arm, shoulder and back movements.
- Minimum age of 21 depending on program and / or department requirements.
- Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical.
- Must meet background screening requirements of program(s) assigned to.
Essential Job Functions:
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
