Schedule:
- Regular: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM or 9 AM – 6 PM, with flexibility to start earlier or later if needed.
- Summer: 5-day work week, with some weekends spent in Rye, NY. Schedule may shift to include days off during the week, working 2–3 days in Rye (weekends) and 2 days in the NYC apartment. No overnight stays required in Rye.

Job Summary:
A young private family is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and organization of their NYC residence, with additional support in Rye, NY, during the summer. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who takes pride in their work, has excellent laundry and organization skills, and enjoys working around children.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of general housekeeping, including deep cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas; vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, garbage disposal, bed-making, and organizing spaces.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team with the Family Assistant/Nanny and part-time Chef/Cook.
- Manage laundry, including washing, ironing, and caring for delicate fabrics and stained clothing, especially children’s garments.
- Handle wardrobe management, including seasonal organization and proper storage.
- Oversee organizing projects and create efficient storage solutions.
- Assist with travel packing and unpacking.
- Prepare light meals for the family occasionally (e.g., a protein and a vegetable).
- Order groceries from preferred markets and track household cleaning supply inventory.
- Handle special requests, errands, and related duties as needed.
- Be comfortable working in a household with three young children.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of related work experience as a private Housekeeper.
- Excellent references from current and previous employers.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Flexibility to work overtime and evenings as needed.
- A team-player mentality with a strong work ethic and hands-on approach.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred.
