About the Job
The Hotel Shift Manager helps to ensure the department and company policies and procedures are followed. Manage and coordinate the many functions of the hotel to achieve a profitable operation and provide the highest level of service to the guest.
Duties:
- Manage assigned shift at the Hotel Front Desk to ensure all department and company policies and procedures are followed, support employees in the performance of their job responsibilities and maintain excellent guest relations.
- Maintain room inventory control daily to avoid downgrading.
- Communicate with VIP on room and suite inventory to maintain integrity with room/suite assignments.
- Maximize revenue with suite upgrades and rate integrity by establishing a daily goal for front desk suite sales.
- Ensure financial controls by verifying all established credit procedures are being followed.
- Maintain ticket bank and keep proper inventory of all tickets and verify all gift certificates sales are logged.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Outlook.
- Ability to multitask, set priorities and follow through on all assignments.
- Supervise, coach, evaluate and counsel all front desk employees.
- Maintain positive working relationships and open communications with internal and external guests/ employees.
- Execute all shift reports.
- Assist on the front line as needed.
Qualifications:
- Desire to work with people.
- Minimum of 2-years customer service experience preferred.
- Minimum 1-year Hotel Front Desk Supervisor experience
- Must have previous cashiering experience.
- Must have 10 key and typing experience (30 WPM).
- Has worked with LMS and Micros previously.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be flexible with schedule
