POSITION OVERVIEW
LOGE Alta Crystal is seeking a Operations Manager for our LOGE Camps site in Enumclaw, WA.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Managing budgets and financial plans and controlling expenditure
* Maintaining statistical and financial records
* Setting and achieving sales and profit targets
* Recruiting, training, and monitoring staff
* Planning work schedules for individuals and teams
* Meeting and greeting customers
* Dealing with customer complaints and comments
* Addressing problems and troubleshooting
* Ensuring events and conferences run smoothly
* Supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishings
* Dealing with contractors and suppliers
* Ensuring security is effective
* Carrying out inspections of property and services
* Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
* All other duties as assigned
SKILLS NEEDED
* A love for showing people a good time, with a host mindset and a deep sense of responsibility for every detail of the guest experience.
* An entrepreneurial spirit and have the ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
* An ability to multi-task and work well under pressure, and to lead a team to do the same.
* A low tolerance for workplace drama, and a frank, forthright, and tactful communication style.
* Strong interpersonal skills with ability to remain positive and effectively deal with stressful situations, including jumping in and getting your hands dirty.
* A leadership approach that focuses on listening and on setting employees up for success.
* A willingness to share best practices, and learn new ways of doing things.
* A demonstrated ability to make good judgement calls, and a track record of operating with integrity.
* Previous experience traveling, exploring, adventuring and staying in a variety of hotel, hostel, and campground locations.
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field, preferred
* Minimum of two years’ experience as a Department Leader or Assistant General Manager
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Products, hospitality software.
* Fluent in English. Bilingual a plus!
* Must have, or be able to obtain, Washington State Food Handler Card.
* Must have, or be able to obtain, Alcohol Servers Permit.
