About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our prestigious hotel. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving financial profitability, and fostering an engaged and motivated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inspirational leadership to all departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and adherence to operational standards, policies, and procedures.
- Manage and optimize departmental budgets, sales, and marketing strategies to achieve financial targets and maximize revenue.
- Oversee and coordinate events, group activities, and departmental services to create memorable guest experiences.
- Analyze competitive market data and trends to inform strategic business decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
- Implement effective sales and revenue management strategies to maximize profitability and occupancy rates.
- Ensure high guest satisfaction levels by consistently monitoring and improving service quality and standards.
- Cultivate and nurture valuable business relationships within the local community to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage labor costs, payroll, accounts receivable, and financial transactions with fiscal responsibility.
- Oversee property improvements, projects, and preventative maintenance programs to maintain exceptional facilities.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a professional demeanor at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven track record of success in hospitality or hotel management, with a minimum of 3 years of experience; Assistant General Manager experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in hotel operations, financial management, and relevant software systems (e.g., Property Management Systems, POS).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual abilities are a significant asset.
- Ability to obtain necessary permits and certifications (e.g., ServSafe/Food Handler, Brand-specific General Manager Certification within the first 60 days).
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for training and development purposes.
- High School Diploma required; college degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
