Job Responsibilities:
- The Convention Centre Manager reports directly to the Hotel General Manager and the Food and Beverage Director and will be a crucial part of the Team coordinating all Event Functions.
- The Convention Centre Manager schedules and supervises all Event Staff to ensure timely and accurate service according to client specifications on the banquet event order and coordinates all off-site deliveries.
- The Convention Centre Manager is responsible for operating the department within the labor and expense budget.
- The Convention Centre Manager is responsible for ordering all non-food-related items and banquet supplies.
- The Convention Centre Manager serves as the point of contact for meeting planners and banquet hosts during the day of events. They also communicate frequently and consistently with the Sales Department to ensure seamless execution occurs between booking and servicing events.
- The Convention Centre Manager maintains positive associate relations coaching and counseling associates regarding career and personal development, conducts performance evaluations, and provides feedback to employees.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma, College Degree in Hospitality Management, or five years experience in banquet service with two years in a supervisory capacity.
- Must have flexibility to work weekdays or weekends as event functions require.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal when following up on BEOs for meetings and group business.
- ServSafe Certification is a plus.
