POSITION SUMMARY
As the Hotel Channel Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, executing, monitoring, tracking and reporting of all activity as it relates to the Hotel Channel for Freedom Division. Additionally, the Hotel Manager is also responsible for driving sales and accomplishing goals by utilizing marketing platforms and building and maintaining business relationships.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESULTS
• Assist in the achievement of all program mandates by communicating to the appropriate selling division, implementing and reporting on such mandates.
• Increase company revenue, points of distribution, and Empire market share by developing and executing key supplier strategies.
• Assist in the achievement of supplier goals by identifying supplier opportunities and meeting with the appropriate account decision makers within the channel.
• Help to achieve sales goals by working in the field with sales personnel, sales managers & suppliers, developing local contacts and positive customer relations, surveying the market & determining success through insightful business analysis.
• Deliver effective sales presentations to achieve company and supplier sales objectives by obtaining and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the features and benefits of supplier products/programs compared to the competition.
• Obtain appropriate distribution as well as specific qualitative/quantitative assigned goals as directed by management of supplier brands.
• Increase revenue and distribution through the presentation of the entire Empire Merchants portfolio by selling on premise features, wine/drink lists, premium pours and well placements as well as banquet and catering pour programs and executing all aspects of special events and promotional programs individually or through management of a third party agency as appropriate within the channel.
• Build relationships within the target accounts by educating the bar staff on Supplier’s brands, new products, cocktail mixology and making sales calls.
• Assist sales in achieving supplier merchandising objectives, distribution and growth targets within each of the targeted accounts by having regular sales planning calls with sales management and the sales rep within the respective accounts.
• Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintain organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
• Completes all necessary training programs by attending, participating, and passing all required tests/training as defined by management. (e.g. WSET, DIVER, Supplier offerings).
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Promotes a healthy work environment by coordinating and cooperating with federal, state and local agencies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Indirect supervisory responsibilities as a Manager within the Division. This position does not have any direct reports, but the Hotel Channel Manager is in the position of directing the Field Sales Managers and Sales Consultants regarding portfolio sales and any sales related follow-up.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Certifications and /or licenses:
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or work experience. (Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field).
• Ability to hold or be eligible to hold New York State Alcoholic Beverage Control Solicitor Permit.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Experience:
- 2+ years in the beverage alcohol industry with relevant experience or 3-5 years of equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years work experience in hotel specific Food & Beverage.
Knowledge/Skills:
- An understanding of wine and spirits is required. WSET Certification ( I, II, III any of the levels ) preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and presentation skills required.
- Must be a results-oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills and leadership ability.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines.
- The ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships required.

- Proficient PC skills using MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and other various computer programs including presentation software.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 plus annual bonus potential
