Hotel Assistant Manager
REPORTS TO: Hotel Manager
DUTIES:
- Provides Front Desk staff, including new hires with necessary training and support as directed by hotel management
- Monitor front desk activities and report issues to Hotel Manager
- Assist Hotel Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Front Desk and any other assigned duties or tasks
- Coordinate all accommodations and communications with Ballroom Clients to include wedding couples, ensuring all hotel reservations and needs are completed
- Assist Hotel Manager with concierge for the property, keeping track of local events that may interest guests or affect capacity
- Ensure all hotel rooms are damage free by conducting biweekly inspections, and inform Hotel Manager of any needed maintenance within the hotel rooms
- Ensure inventory of hotel supplies is adequate, reporting to Hotel Manager if any supplies are running low
- Coordinate with appropriate departments to ensure all guest requests are completed
- Participate in monthly meeting with hotel management to discuss hotel issues and ideas for improvements
- Acts as Manager on Duty when Hotel Manager is absent or out of office
- Ability to perform functions of all roles within hotel department including housekeeping and laundry to fill in if needed
- Responsible for rotating Overnight On-Call Duty along with Hotel Manager, each to take 1 month at a time being On-Call for the After-Hours Emergency Phone Line
- Ability to take on projects on an ad-hoc basis by Hotel Manager related to Hotel Operations

Planning, Creative Problem Solving, Foster Teamwork, Customer Service, Self-Motivated, High-Energy Level, Multi-Tasking, Resolving Conflict, Verbal Communication, High School Diploma, Knowledge of Administrative Procedures, Knowledge of Relevant Computer Applications, Ability to Stand for 8 plus hours, Ability to lift 20-40 pounds
