Exciting Opportunity for a Construction Project Manager in Hospitality
We are seeking a talented and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. If you have a passion for construction and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!
As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel construction projects, including renovations, capital expenditures, and new ground-up developments. From planning and scheduling to budgeting and implementation, you will be the driving force behind the successful execution of projects at various stages.
Responsibilities:
- Foster a valuable team environment and provide resources for assigned projects
- Oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring seamless execution
- Juggle multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating exceptional time management skills
- Participate in the selection and coordination of project teams
- Manage and collaborate with contractors, architects, procurement engineers, project inspectors, and city/county officials
- Negotiate effectively with contractors, designers, and vendors on behalf of the company
- Travel approximately 35% or more to project sites
- Work remotely from a home office
Qualifications:
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship
- Self-motivated and quick thinking approach
- Bachelor's degree in design, construction, engineering, or relevant field (preferred), or equivalent experience in hospitality construction management
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience in hospitality construction project management
- Ability to work remotely and independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat, or Bluebeam
- Familiarity with construction management software
- Expertise in creating budgets, cost analysis, schedules, and modifications
- Strong leadership qualities, negotiation skills, and a collaborative team player mindset
- Excellent communication abilities to effectively engage with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Ability to multitask, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain a keen eye for detail
- Dedication to achieving departmental and company goals and objectives
