Hospitalist opportunity in Vernon, CT

Great opportunity to join a small talented team of two physicians, who collaborate with other hospital staff and departments to bring the best possible quality of care to our patients.

Position Highlights:

• The hospital has 100 beds. There is no medical unit or ICU. We’re looking for a board-certified/eligible physician with hospitalist experience/training. Internal and family medicine physicians are welcome to apply.
• At Rockville, we perform Geri psych H&Ps, psych consults and ED admissions that are transferred over to another facility.
• Our hospitalist team is part of the rapid response team and run codes on patients that are not in the ED. We’re all certified in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support.
• You will be the only hospitalist on site, but the support of the hospitalist team at the Hospital is just a phone call away.
• This position is days only (there is a tele – physician overnight) and our schedule is week on/week off. No call.
• We work in Meditech (with Dragon), with access to our own internal informatics platform.
