Hospital Care Investigator/Revenue Cycle from Atria Consulting

We are seeking motivated individuals who will provide excellent customer service in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Review accounts, correct claim edits, and prepare and complete claims for submission to payers.
• Document patient information clearly and completely in systems.
• Conduct patient interviews to obtain identifying information, such as demographic, biographic, and insurance status for Registration/Check-In.
• Enter accurate information into the EPIC system.
• Obtain signatures on registration forms, including TPO, Bill of Rights, HIPAA Notice of Privacy, Health Care Proxy, and General Consents.
• Scan insurance cards, photo IDs, and other supporting documentation into the EMR system.
• Assist patients in making or rescheduling appointments in the EMR system.
• Perform system checks to verify insurance coverage.
• Provide guidance to patients regarding hospital policies, including document requirements for insurance screening and/or financial assistance.
• Process patient payments via cash, checks, debit, and credit cards.
• Reconcile payments against issued receipts and prepare daily proof-of-cash reconciliation reports.
• Follow proof-of-cash reconciliation policy and other cashier procedures and functions.
• Handle other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Two years' experience in a medical billing, patient financial services, or related healthcare role.
• Bachelor's degree required or High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 4 years related experience.
• Must be bilingual in Spanish or French.
• Prior experience in a healthcare or medical office environment is required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Please note that the salary range and/or hourly rate range of $20.00 - $27.00 is a good faith determination of potential base compensation offered to applicants at the time of this job advertisement and may be subject to modification in the future.
