Job Summary:
The Hospice Sales Representative is essential to expanding our outreach and forming strategic partnerships to support our mission of enhancing the lives of patients in need of hospice care. In this critical hospice sales job, you will build relationships with healthcare professionals, facilities, and community organizations, promoting our hospice services and ensuring a smooth transition of patients to our care. This role is ideal for a dedicated individual with excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, and a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and Maintain Relationships:
- Develop and sustain strong, long-lasting relationships with healthcare professionals, including physicians, social workers, discharge planners, and case managers.
Promote Hospice Services:
- Educate healthcare providers and referral sources about the benefits and value of our hospice care services through presentations, meetings, and other marketing activities.
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct assessments of patients' eligibility for hospice care and provide guidance to healthcare professionals, patients, and families regarding the hospice admission process.
Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and industry changes to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary hospice team, including nurses, social workers, and chaplains, to ensure a seamless transition for patients into our care.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions with healthcare providers, patients, and families.
Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance standards in the hospice industry.
Reporting:
- Generate regular reports on sales activities, referral trends, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in healthcare sales, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- In-depth knowledge of hospice and end-of-life care.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
