We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Hospice RN to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position, offering a unique opportunity to work within the legal industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing the highest level of care and a deep understanding of the specific needs of hospice patients.
Responsibilities:
As a Hospice RN, you will play a crucial role in our team, providing compassionate care to our patients at a time when they need it most. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Coordinating and providing nursing care for patients, ensuring that their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
2. Developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
3. Providing education and emotional support to patients and their families, helping them to understand the patient's condition and treatment.
4. Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring that all relevant information is shared in a timely and appropriate manner.
5. Adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
6. Leading and mentoring a team of healthcare professionals, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
1. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
2. Valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
3. NYS licensure as a Registered Nurse.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information in a clear and understandable way.
5. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
6. Proven experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.
7. Previous experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting.
8. Experience in a team lead role, with proven leadership and mentoring skills.
9. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a hospice or related healthcare setting.
