Role Summary

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Honda Service Technician to join our team. As part of the Honda brand, you will have the opportunity to work with industry-leading technology and a diverse range of reliable, high-performing vehicles. This role is integral to delivering the exceptional service and quality that Honda customers expect.

More about the role

• Perform accurate diagnostics on vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues and carry out necessary repairs.
• Conduct manufacturer-recommended maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections, adhering to Honda's rigorous standards.
• Test drive vehicles and perform post-repair inspections to ensure repairs meet Honda's performance and safety specifications.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all diagnostics, repairs, parts used, and services performed, ensuring compliance with Honda warranty and service policies.
• Partner with Service Advisors and fellow technicians to provide timely, accurate service and build customer trust.
• Occasionally interface with customers to explain necessary repairs, answer questions, and deliver an exceptional Honda service experience.

What we look for

• ASE certifications preferred; Honda-specific training or certifications (e.g., Honda/Acura ProFirst or Honda-certified programs) are a plus.
• Skilled with Honda diagnostic systems such as i-HDS, and familiar with specialized tools like the Honda Diagnostic System Tester (DST-i).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues with precision.
• Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy components and standing for extended periods.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills to deliver a customer-centric service experience.
