Salary Range: $110,000 - $175,000 annually salary + discretionary bonuses, commensurate with experience

Our client, an established boutique law firm in West Palm Beach, focuses on general commercial litigation and community association law. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated attorney to handle sophisticated transactional and litigation matters in a close-knit, dynamic team. The firm prides itself on providing expert legal support to community associations, homeowners associations (HOAs), and condominium clients throughout the state of Florida.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Community Association Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of community association law experience. The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle complex transactional and litigation matters involving title work, escrow, and HOA issues. This role is perfect for an attorney seeking challenging and exciting work with a collaborative, supportive team. You'll work closely with community association clients on various legal matters, guiding them through governing document amendments, covenant enforcement, and corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert counsel on a wide range of community association matters, including the interpretation and amendment of governing documents (e.g., CC&Rs, Bylaws, Rules & Regulations, and Architectural Standards).
- Advise clients on board procedures, meeting conduct, dispute resolution, and neighborhood controversies.
- Represent clients in covenant and rule enforcement matters, lender foreclosure, and landlord-tenant defense.
- Serve as guidance at Board of Directors or Committee meetings, advising on powers, duties, and best practices.
- Assist with real estate boundary disputes, title issues, and construction defect litigation.
- Review and negotiate loan documents and advise on structuring lines of credit and securing financing for community association operations.
- Participate in educational and training initiatives to keep clients informed on industry trends and regulatory updates.
- Effectively communicate with courts, clients, and opposing counsel in all facets of a thriving community association practice.
Qualifications:
- Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience handling HOA and condominium association matters.
- Strong skills in written communication, drafting, and client relations.
- Proven expertise in persuasion and negotiation, with the ability to advocate effectively for clients and present confidently to diverse audiences.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to stay informed on evolving community association laws and industry standards.
- Experience in corporate governance, board training, and managing complex transactional matters.
