We are Better Together!
Our Hospice is looking for Home Health Aides (HHA) for our 14 bed Inpatient Facility (IPF) in Columbus, IN. This person works with patients alongside a RN in a clinical setting. Our patients and families are in the most important time of their life and need non-skilled nursing to help navigate their pathway. This position pays shift premiums.
Shift Available:
Days: 3x12s and every other weekend; 7 am - 7:30 pm
Nights: 3x12s and every other weekend; 7 pm - 7:30 am
An HHA at Our Hospice Will:
- Provide routine patient care in the IPF per the Home Health Aide assignment in an exemplary manner, providing comfort, care, and compassion to patients and families.
- Assist the patient with daily hygiene activities (including, but not limited to: helping patients to shower, change clothing, shave, and toilet).
- Observe patients and reports observations and concerns to the primary care nurse and/or Patient Care Coordinator, Nurse Facilitator or Manager of Inpatient and Bartholomew.
- Complete patient records accurately in Home Care Home Base (HCHB) and on a timely basis.
- Attend and participates in Interdisciplinary Group meetings, in-services, and staff meetings as requested.
- Participate in a minimum of twelve (12) hours in-service education per year.
- Be willing and able to lift patients for routine hygiene as needed
What an HHA at Our Hospice Needs:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Licensed Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in the State of Indiana
Salary Range: $16/hr - $17/hr plus shift differential
Our Hospice employees are eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
