Home Care Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - York County - Maine Health

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Licensed Practical Nurses:

• 0-1 years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)
• 1-3 years of experience eligible for $7,500 (full time)
• 3+ years of experience eligible for $10,000 (full time)

• Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time LPN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
• Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Home Care Position Highlights:

• Enjoy a less stressful pace of work, treating one patient at a time

• Follow patient cases from start to finish

• Have the ability to educate patients and family members about care, treatment & diagnosis in a much more in depth manner
• Weekend scheduling – Every 4^th weekend rotation!

Position Summary

The LPN supports MaineHealth Care at Home's (MHCAH) mission, vision, and values by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, patient and family centered care, commitment to our community, and accountability. The LPN carries out technical nursing skills where a professional degree of evaluative judgment is not required, with guidance from a registered professional nurse. This position reports to the Clinical Director and works clinically with a professional RN Case Manager.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. 1. Education: Graduate of a school accredited by the NLN to prepare practical (vocational) nurse.
   2. License/Certifications: State of Maine licensure as aPractical Nurse. Current, valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle, with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy. Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers.
   3. Experience: One year of experience in an acute care hospital or skilled nursing facility.
