Underdirection isresponsible to collectvariousfacts,and documents,circumstances,video evidence, alarm information and other materialrelated to a crimeand placethem in a logicalrelatedframework.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES:
RESPONSIBILITIESEXAMPLESOFWORK
- To virtuallypatrolallpublicspaceswithinviewablearea for known or suspectelements of ongoing or anticipated criminalactivity, other suspiciousactivity,quality-of-lifematters,and other conditions of policeinterest.
- Process alarm signals quickly, accurately and professionally in stressful situations, adhering to established alarm protocol.
- Dispatch the proper authorities, verify that help is on the way and notify responsible parties.
- To communicatesituationalawarenessandvirtualpatrolobservationstofieldunits.
- To evaluateactivities to ensurecrimepreventioneffortsareconsistentwithcrimepreventionplans,pre-determined patrolsector/hotspotexpectations,and in responsetoemerging crimeconditions.
- To generatevirtualdirected patrolcomputeraided dispatch (CAD)ticketsforvirtualdirectedpatrolassignments.Indicating cameralocation and directedvirtualpatroltype.
- To completetasksrelatedtothearchiving of videoforinvestigative,evidentiary,and/orregulatorycompliancepurposes.
- Accurately document all responses and actions for alarms and video evidence in account records.
- Performsrelatedworkasrequired.
QUALIFICATIONS
- HighSchoolDiploma orGED, Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
- 2 years experience in a call/monitoring center role.
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLSANDABILITIES
- Experience with alarm monitoring software (MKS or Honeywell) preferred.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to workin a highstressenvironment.
- Ability to communicate inwriting to effectively prepare findingsandcreate reports
