A well-established law firm is looking for a talented, driven and organized legal secretary/paralegal with experience in HomeOwners Associations. This is an amazing opportunity for the candidate looking for new challenges, a change of pace in their career or to grow professionally. The ideal legal secretary/paralegal will have an understanding of the legal process and be eager to learn.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Work with HOAs
-Prepare ligitation paperwork
- Manage and maintain general office records for the firm
- Assist with the preparation, filing, and tracking of documents in all legal proceedings
- Draft, review and assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents
- Assist with research, compilation, and organization of documents
- Assist attorneys with drafting pleadings and responses
- Schedule appointments and keep track of deadlines
Essential Job Functions:
-MUST HAVE HOA previous experience
Strong organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with legal documents
- Knowledge of legal terminology
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication, writing and proofreading skills
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively
The ideal legal secretary/paralegal will possess the following skills:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced computer and IT skills
The position requires related experience working in external relationship management
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and flexibility
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Self-driven individual, ability to work with minimal direction
